If you are a longtime TeamConnect client, you and/or your users have most likely encountered the problem of duplicate contacts proliferating in the system. When you need to select an involved party for your party and perform a search for the company contact, how do you decide between the contacts “Baker Mackenzie” or “Baker Mackenzie LLP” or “Baker Mackenzie, LLP” that were all created in your system at some point? Wouldn’t it be great to consolidate each of these contacts into one “Baker Mackenzie LLP” that a user can select without ambiguity?
Having encountered these issues at all the TeamConnect implementations we have worked on and realizing that the out-of-the-box Duplicate Contact Sweeper tool is woefully inadequate in solving this problem, we are super excited to announce the release of Kranium’s Duplicate Contact Manager module.
Kranium’s Duplicate Contact Manager module will generate a report of all duplicate contacts in your system, allow you to specify a “Master” contact to merge the duplicates into, replace all references to the duplicates with the master and finally scrub the duplicates from your system. Removing duplicates will help with contact selection by your business users, help with generating more meaningful reports for your decision-makers and lastly reduce the amount of data in your system.
